I can't believe I used to break my back doing this... May 31, 2004 What a difference it makes using this gas powered lawn edger. No more sore back. No more blisters on my fingers. The most physical part to edging now is starting the edger, and that only took a couple of pulls of the cord. It used to take a couple of hours to do my edging the first time of the season. Now I'm done edging in about 25 minutes. I choose gas powerd for 2 reasons. 1)I feel that with lawn toys...I mean lawn tools, gas is more powerfull than elecrtic. 2) I didn't want to be "tied" to a cord. When edging for the first time of the season I recomend starting on the 2nd highest setting of the 6. Then I change it to the fourth setting. And lastly, I set it for the deepest setting. I just got my edger last week so I can't tell you for sure, but I think that for the rest of the season I'll just use the deepest setting. Now the hard part will be not getting "shamed" into doing all my neighbors lawn edging.
